SUMMER RESERVATIONS
The minimum age for children at camp is 4 years at the time of their stay.
How to reserve your stay
Full Week reservation requests will be accepted until January 15, after which the Registrar will conduct a lottery of requests made by that date, to confirm reservations. Requests for weekly or Nightly stays made after that date will be filled after lottery participants have been place and will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis depending on space availability.
Complete an online Summer Reservation Request including Payment due at time of Request.
Each camper in your party must complete and submit the online Liability Waiver Form(s). Send the link to each member of your party! A parent or guardian must complete the form on behalf of Child(ren) whose name(s) appear on your Reservation Request.
A valid AMC member number for each camper must be provided in your request to receive the lower member rate, otherwise campers will be billed at the non-member rate. Family Memberships include up to two adults and any children under 21 living in your household. This membership class does not include family members living outside of your household. There is a limit of 4 cabins/12 people per reservation. There are two beds per cabin. Cots are available to add a third person.
Please be sure to provide at least 3 alternative preferences for both cabin and week. If your first choice is not available, we will try to accommodate your second choice, and if need be, your third choice.
Please complete the section on the form that specifies SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS and SPECIAL PHYSICAL NEEDS of those in your party. With notice, we can accommodate moderate food allergies. We can't address all special diets nor avoid cross-contamination for those with severe food allergies. The person named on the form is responsible for payment. Submission of the form indicates your acceptance of our payment and cancellation terms. The Registrar will confirm your reservation contact after receiving your Request and Payment.
Additional Information
Arrivals and departures are from Goodhue / Shep Brown’s Boat Basin, Lovejoy Sands Road, Meredith, NH. On Saturdays, the camp launch leaves Shep Brown’s at 9 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, and 5 pm. If campers arrive in the afternoon and leave in the morning, the efficiency of the camp is greatly improved.
Label all your baggage with your last name, cabin name and week number. Upon arrival at Shep’s, unload your baggage onto the grassy area between the docks and the parking lot. Your luggage will be delivered directly to your cabin. Please park in the designated TMI parking area, not the public lot.
Campers bringing their own boats should plan to convey them from the mainland themselves whenever possible. We have boat slips available for a small fee. Please let the Registrar know your boat requirements, 856-235-2210, before arriving on the island.
We encourage you to pack lightly and to leave electronic devices at home – you’re on vacation! If you do bring any electronic devices, their use is restricted to the privacy of your cabin. Drones are always prohibited.
Layered camp-style clothing works best, and nothing fancy is needed. Linens and a towel are provided. Please bring your own beach towels for the waterfront. Don’t forget a flashlight and illumination for your cabin.
Please consult the managers if you wish to have any visitors for any day. The island has a certain daily capacity which the managers need to monitor. Children under 4 cannot visit without permission from the managers.
All public areas of the island are smoke-free. You may smoke or use e-cigarettes only on your cabin porch.
Meals are served family style and if requested we can accommodate moderate food allergies. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to accommodate all special diets and are unable to avoid cross contamination in the kitchen for those with severe food allergies.
