COVID-19 Announcement

Dear Three Mile Community,

This is a difficult time for all of us, and part of what makes it difficult is not knowing with any certainty what the immediate future holds. That same uncertainty applies to Three Mile Island Camp, as we are three months away from starting our scheduled summer season.

If you have not seen the email messages sent out by AMC president John Judge on March 16 th and 24 th , you should know that the organization is working professionally and competently to protect the health and safety of all AMC members, staff, volunteers and the general public with whom we engage and host at AMC facilities. On the 16 th , John announced that all AMC activities would be suspended through the end of April. His March 24 th email noted that this suspension of activities will continue until further notice, reflecting that there may be a change in the date that AMC activities resume based on federal/local government guidance or CDC/health department standards. The most up-to-date information on the AMC’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including revised policies for existing and new reservations, can be found on the AMC website:

I will alert the TMI community if there are any changes to our 2020 schedule as soon as changes become known to me.

The thought of disrupting a summer or fall visit to Three Mile Island adds to what is already a turbulent time. However, our priorities should be to limit the spread of the virus and consider our health and that of our family, friends and neighbors as advised by medical professionals. This is a dynamic situation, so please bear with the AMC and the TMI committee and staff as we navigate these uncharted waters.

Be healthy,

David Carpenter
