Donate to The Appy VI Project

A custom-designed electric launch, the Appy VI, is now under construction, and we are seeking donors to allow us to complete the project. While an electric boat will cost more than a conventional boat with a gasoline engine, the innovative technology of Appy VI will cost less to power and maintain, and moves Three Mile Island much closer to our goal of net zero emissions. Replacing gas vehicles with electric vehicles, and therefore turning the tide of harmful emissions, is one of the Appalacian Mountain Club's top priorities.

The Three Mile Island community cares deeply about the financial and environmental sustainability of our camp. Generous donors from inside and outside the TMI community have already given or pledged a significant portion of funds for the project, making it financially possible and responsible for us to complete this project now.
